Helpful Supplements if You Get Sick During Pregnancy

April 18, 2018

If you get sick during pregnancy there are things you can do and take that are safe to help your immune system while you are recovering from a cold or the flu. These products and supplements have helped me through my last 8 pregnancies. But I am not a Dr, so if you are wondering about the safety of any of these ask your Dr or midwife.

List of helpful things to do or take if you are sick during pregnancy:

-Echinacea tea, Ginger tea, Chamomile tea (drink hot with raw honey)
Vitamin C (non gmo)
-Garlic (raw is the best)
-Probiotics ( Garden of Life has one just for pregnancy)
Wish Garden Herbs Immune Boost Tincture (very helpful, available at Sprouts or online)
-Thieves essential oil (use a carrier oil and rub on your feet, use Edens Garden Fighting Five blend)
Manuka Honey and Ginger drops (available at CVS Pharmacy)
-Flu bomb (recipe below)
-Raw ACV-Apple Cider Vinegar and grape juice or apple juice
-Filtered Water (at least 64 ounces a day)
-Prenatal vitamins ( Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal is excellent)
Chlorophyll and alfalfa (liquid form or tablets)
Alaskan Salmon fish oil (good for all women...all the time)
-Vitamin D (right from the sun, get outside)

Flu Bomb:
1 clove crushed garlic

1/4 tsp cayenne
1 Tbsp raw honey

1 Tbsp raw ACV
1/4 tsp ginger root (can use powdered form)

Mix together well and drink the whole thing. Repeat as necessary, several times a day. Works SO well!!
